Layout moves are not saving.

In my web page I have around 50+ layouts listed down the length of the page. The content is of company names so I have them in alphabetical order.

The problem is I have to create a new layout at the bottom of the list and then click 'move up' a hundred times to put it where I want it.

The MAJOR problem is that once I waste an hour doing the 'move up's and click exit edit mode it never saves the location. Sure enough the layout is still at the bottom.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Have you heard the story of the driver who stops to ask directions and gets the reply "Well sir, I wouldn't start from here" ....

Using layouts to create a long formatted list is way beyond what they were ever intended for.

There are many other ways to achieve such listings that are more reliable, flexible and maintainable.

If you can explain a bit more about the application and what secondary data you have associated with each company name, then we can make suggestions on alternative solutions best suited to your application.

Each layout has two columns. The left has a small .jpg of the company logo. The right has text with basic colors and hyperlink.

What would you suggest?
