Layout not updating

I'm sorry if this is a repeat question. I searched the forum but could not find the answer.

I created a new layout, with 3 columns and 1 row, within a block. I've added my content and image. However, when I select "preview my edits", the changes do not occur. What is the cause? And how can I correct the problem?

After posting this question, I tried the same action on two other pages and the layout saved. My problem is ocurring on the HOME page. Any suggestions?
