Leaving the editing mode without taking any action
Permalink
Hi all,
i've noticed some annoying bahaviour when in editing mode (Concrete 5.7). Often I click on "Add block" but then decide not to add a new block, but there is no obvious way back from this view, the only way to leave this mode is hitting F5. Do I oversee something or is there indeed no way to leave the "Add block" view without doing anything?
Regards,
Alfred

If you click an area to add to a block and decide not to add a block just click the 'pencil' icon, then click again to exit 'Edit' mode.
The strange thing is that this is not possible on my site. The div with the id "ccm-panel-overlay" covers these buttons. Maybe this is an issue with my custom theme which messes up or conflicts with the editing mode css. I'll take a look into this tomorrow.
Thanks for the hints guys!

Sounds like it could be either a 'wrapper' or 'z-index' issue.
The reason for this strange behavior was in an error in my theme - a missing closing div messed everything up but not visually that's why i didn't notice this for so long.
Thanks for pushing into the right direction.

If you mean when you click the + icon in the top left corner and the sliding left-hand panel is open, just click twice on the same + icon. The first click will lock it so it doesn't close every time you add a block. The second click will close the panel.
