Login Issue

Hi guys,
I am having trouble with my login in internet explorer. After I login, it sends me back to the homepage without actually having logged in. there are no error messages. If I enter a wrong password, it says that I have a wrong password.
I have read other posts in previous versions of concrete about this issue and it was said to be fixed for 5.5.2.1. I just upgraded to the latest version and it is still happening.
Any solutions to this?

I have tried the "fix"of placing a session id close line into the login.php file but that did not help either.
I am at a loss here :(
