Login page reload error

Really weird thing happening..
When I enter my username & password and click the sign in button, I get redirected back to the login page, then when I re-enter my username & password I get to the website and I am logged in,
However..
If, when I get redirected back to the login page, I just shut down that page without re-entering user & pass and then revisit the website I find I am already logged in!
I have tried turning off pretty url's and has made no difference,
I have also tried a basic theme (plain yoghurt) with same results,
Cleared the cache and tried three different browsers - same result?
Any ideas guys?

sounds like theres an issue with your redirect. You might try changing the login redirect settings in the dashboard, just search for login destination in the intelligent search bar for concrete 5.5

Okay,
After hours of head scratching I finally worked out that it was a database error, I discovered this by doing a fresh install of Concrete5.5.1 to a new database, with my theme installed also, this install had no login errors,
After connecting the new install to the old database, the error came back,
So I am now rebuiding my site from scratch on a new database (again)
