Logo not showing up

Hi Guys! i am helping to my friend add some stuff to his site. I am bit confuse and a first time user. he need to add his logo o the site. i am try to fix it. but i cant find any place to do it.
pls help me. it will be a good karma
I am not sure if your theme is setup for it, but this is what you would normally do in pre 5.5. From -dashboard- click -scrapbooks- on the scrapbook page click view on the global scrapbook, screenshot attached. If you don't have a global scrapbook create one with the add scrapbook option. and than follow the above steps.
Once you are in the global scrapbook look for a My_Site_Name scrapbook item. If its there click edit, and change to your picture by either adding an image to content block or using an image block screenshot attached.
If there is no My_Site_Name scrapbook item than create one with the add block to scrapbook option at top left of the page. When you add this block add your logo in either a content or image block, and save. This block will than appear with a seemingly random name like block2620. Press edit on "block2620" and rename it My_Site_Name make sure you have the capital letters as well as the underscores. Press save. Go to your pages, and press refresh on your browser.
Hopefully your logo will now occupy that space.
