Lost my permissions, cant do anything

Hi, I am the registered owner of a website that I built and I can log in BUT I cant do anything because it seems my permissions have been downgraded somehow. I cant view the sitemap or check user permissions or anything.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how can I fix it?

Do you have access to the superuser account (username admin)? That's the only one that can never be restricted in any way.

If you can log in as the superuser you can set all your permissions back the way you want them.

Thanks for your reply. Well I built the site so yes I am superadmin. BUT Ive just looked into the database.

The problem started when I tried to login using an updated email address that I changed successfully some time ago. I clicked 'forgot password' to reset my password but it didnt recognise my email address. So I logged in as a user on an old email address. So Im in but cant do anything.

Ahhhh I just see the problem the new email address is spelt incorrectly. I can see it in the database.

Im hoping this sorts my problem.
