major page title / logo issue

Hi -
I've reviewed all of the threads regarding change a homepage title to a logo. I've tried all of the suggestions and followed the steps in this tutorial video:

any suggestions on how to get my desired logo on the home page (where the title currently is)?
The theme is whitespace.
