Managing Disk Space Usage
Permalink
Hi,
I have always wondered what is the best way to manage the disk space A concrete5 site uses. i have a few sites and most of them use a lot of space despite not being that big.
AND They seem to get better. I'm aware of cache and things like that but there must be a few of these folders that get bloated and continue to get bloated, as all the sites seem to get bigger and bigger.
Can anyone share their best practices for keeping disk space usage down?

Hi,
I have the same problem. Luckily I just found this:

Just delete the folders from files/tmp folder.

I've been looking at disk space on my servers today, this post I just made may be of some help to you in reducing your sites' disk footprints hopefully!

If it's a cache issue, periodically clearing your cache from Dashboard > Sitewide Settings might help.
If your host counts database size, and you've got stats turned on, your db could be getting bloated by all those entries. In that case, switching to a different tracking solution (like google analytics) would help.
