Missing Default.php and View.php

Hello....

So, I have been trying to troubleshoot a few issues.. when I realized that I am missing the default.php and view.php page types. Can't seem to figure out how to replace them- have been searching the forums with no luck. I am using the "Rigid Bold" theme.

Any help would be amazing!

If you are missing those files, I believe the system will complain. Do you get any errors?

Nope.... no errors.

The original thing that led to this discovery is that I wanted to switch my mobile theme to "Special Mobile." (I have 5.6.0.2) When I looked at the drop down for the theme, the option was not there. I did some more searching on my Rigid Bold theme and found out that I was missing view.php and default.php... not sure if the two are related, though.

Thanks for your help!

I 'roll my own' themes so I've never purchased a theme in the marketplace but you might try re-installing by going to My Account on concrete.org and clicking on 'Projects' link on the right. Release the Rigid Bold license and then re-assign it to your project. You should then be able to download the archive and extract the default.php and view.php.

I'm afraid that if you re-install automatically through your dashboard, you will overwrite any changes you've made to your existing files. Perhaps it might be safer to rename your existing Rigid Bold folder so any re-install will not crush your existing files.

You could also send a support request to the developer. I'm sure they could send you those files.

Thanks for the advice. I thought of uninstalling and then reinstalling the theme but leaned away from the idea because I was afraid of losing everything. I shall contact the developer! Thanks again.

You won't lose content when you uninstall/re-install a theme because the themes are just containers for the content that's actually stored in the database but overwriting customizations to existing files is a concern.
