mod_rewrite problem

I am using apache 2.2 on win2003 everything was working great, then i added the code to the conf, enabled pretty url, and restarted apache, home page works fine, was able to login to dash board but when i edit a page, and click on a block no edit menu shows up?

I saw someone else had that happen on their windows box.. turned pretty urls back off - everything worked fine..

weird.
