Moving a site-wide header container
Permalink
I want to move a site-wide header container but I don't seem to be allowed to.
Containers in other areas can be moved and resized. I am using the Vedana theme.
Is there a way to enable moving containers in the site-wide header area?

Sounds like you're using 5.6. Visit dashboard > stacks. From within this dialogue, you can move blocks around in your global areas, which you cannot do from within page edit mode.
I am using 5.7.4.2.
Thanks for the suggestion of looking at stacks. I will check it out.

Can you take screenshots of what you are trying to do.

It seems simple enough, but I have not been able to see anything in the documentation or the tools to do this. I just want to move the Auto-Nav block in the site wide header to the left to get it close to the logo and have more room on the Auto-Nav right.

If I understand your question correctly, this is not an issue of moving blocks or containers, but changing the HTML in the page template.
What is the address of your website?

Yes, editing the right piece of html would do it. But that might cause troubles in the future.
I "solved" the issue at present by switching the contents of the two containers in the global header. I put the Auto-Nav block in the "site name" container, and the logo and site mantra
in the container designated for the nav info. Not ideal, but it works.
The site by the way is mymusicta.com, a support site for our iPad Apps.
Thanks for the suggestions.

What version of concrete5 are you using?
In 5.7, I don't believe you can add custom layouts to global areas.
