My admin login stopped showing the edit options (Dashboard, etc.)
The sequence was:
1. My password suddenly stopped working.
2. I did a pasword reset, and got a new password to login.
3. But when I login -- it shows me logged in as 'admin' -- the usual edit functions do not appear on the top (DashBoard, add a page, etc).
4. I changed the zoom level on my display, but that didn't help.
5. I logged out and logged back in several times, but with the same result.
I can't get to the Dashboard, so I can't check any other settings. My website ahs been working fine for several months -- this is the first problem. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks.

Wish I could help you, but I am having the exact same problem. None of us can get into our web site to make any edits or updates. If this isn't resolved soon, we'll need to build a totally new site, and it definitely will not be made with Concrete5. This has been the pits!
Did either of you update to Concrete5.5? If so, there is a code (that should be included in EVERY theme, but hasn't been used a lot).
If you haven't upgraded to any other version, you should give a little more information: are you using a custom theme, any custom add-ons, scripts and other things that might interfere with C5? Most of the time, C5 'problems' are NOT caused by C5.
One more thing, threatening is not nice. I understand you've been having problems, but if you ask politely, everybody here in the forums is willing to help (sometimes I think they're too nice).

My problem has been solved -- after trial and error. I turned off 'protected mode' in my Internet Explorer, and I could get sign in.
This may not be the solution to other situations, but worth a try. From working with other applications, I have seen browser issues trigger problems in other web based applications.
By the way, I think concrete5 is an excellent website building system.

Agreed. Internet Explorer definitely causes some problems. For every simple thing you can do on every browser, you need to find a fix for IE.
Anyway, glad you were able to fix your problem. Enjoy Concrete5! If you run into any more trouble, the forums are your friend! =D
