Nav not working on members only site

I have been using C5 for a while and this is a strange one.

I am setting up a site for a client that wants a members/clients only site. When I made the site private the nav is not working. The only link that doesn't get a 404 is the home link. I tried a test page and have the same results. What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean by "made the site private". How did you do that?

Are you setting this up on GoDaddy?

System and settings>Site Access and yes godaddy.

GoDaddy caused a serious problem when they started using Apache 2.4 on some of their servers. The .htaccess rules that concrete5 likes are not the same in ver 2.4 and this is causing problems that are not easy to fix. Search these forums for '.htaccess godaddy' and you will see what I mean.

I might be wrong but it looks like you might have taken the site private and set Pretty URL's on around the same time so I would turn Pretty URL's off and see how it goes.

I had to migrate 2 clients off GoDaddy because we couldn't fix this.

Thanks mhawke,

I didn't realize I had Pretty URL's on. I did that out of habit. Anyhow, once I turned it off everything is working fine.

After this last experience with godaddy, I will not let future clients be hosted by them.
