new to c5, pages wont display

hey everyone, im new to concrete 5 and im having a problem.

when i create a new page, it displays properly if i acess it through the dashboard, but if i go to my website and click on the link on the top bar, it simply takes me to a page not found error.

i dont know why this happens.

Have you enabled pretty url's? If you have, did you copy the required code to your .htaccess file?

If you enable pretty url's without copying the code the htaccess you will get these kind of errors.

I think he did activate it and the most right page in the top nav does work, the rest doesn't..

I have no idea why... Pages are published, they are visible. Alias? Multiple URL's and none are correct?

hey thanks for the promp reply.
i actually havnt copied a code into the htaaccess file. unless thats supposd to happen automatically..
and what code should i copy.. should i just open up the htaacess via a ftp client and paste the code in a new line?
