New user trying the demo
Permalink
Is the demo site the same version as I would use as the main index page of concrete5 and the created site renders wrongly in IE7 on many tried machines but fine on refresh which is too late as the user has already left the building.
Second, if I add a new user according to the help pages I should be able to add them to a group but the group area is blank, creating a couple of groups then trying still does not work and even the admin groupo option is not there or is this related to the former point please?

IE7(32 or 64 no diff)
Vista 64
The expected selection box for groups does not show at all on new user, blue back group and below is empty, two shots enclosed

it's a bit farther on the right side.. your screenshot is actually too small!
at least it should be there..
at least it should be there..
gotta make the group to put them in first.. is there a group?
dig the video
In the end it was just as the video thank you.
What I followed was
http://www.concrete5.org/index.php?cID=2904...
which clearly seems to show the group selection option below the created user screen which it is not so there is a missed step which threw things out.
At least the response was good and making me feel far more like working with this than a couple of others.
Thanks to all.

everything else sucks
concrete5 is the best.
drupal sucks, and so does joomla.
modx and silverstripe can bite it too.
i'm probably supposed to be more discrete - right? woops.

You have to give a credit to Drupal and Joomla though.
Because I was struggling to learn Drupal and Joomla to run my customers' site, I realized how crazy-cool c5 was.
We have to appreciate that there are other CMS that we can compare to... :-p

1) What? Renders fine for me. can you explain/screenshot what you're talking about?
2) Eh? make a user, edit that user, put that user into groups. Probably administrator is the only one available if you're in simple permissions mode... again - works for thousands of people every day, so if something's off for you, I'd love to know more..
can you post some screenshots or vids of what you're doing that seems off?
also, you're not by chance in ie6? while pages should render fine in ie6, the CMS won't work with it.
