Only certain page types for certain pages?

I got into a project with concrete5 and for this project there is one "live version" which is online and a "playground system" for development.
The weird thing: When I wanna add a page in the playground system, it offers me like 10-20 page types (all that the system got) to choose from.
But when I wanna add a page in the live system, it only shows me one or two page types to choose from, depening on where I am. For example if I'm on team page, I can only add "Person"-pagetype pages.
My question now: Where can I define which pagetypes can be added for a certain page? Is it defined in any source code? Or in the database? Any settings maybe?

And You can set what ever Page Types can be added under certain pages (Edit Page -> Permissions -> Sub-Page permissions).
The "feature" doesn't work with "Super Administrator" (for a obvious reason), but works nicely with any other admin and/or user level.
