Open page in popup from autonav link

I would like to open an internal page from the autonav menu in a popup window. Also, is this possible with an external url as well?

Its very easy with the external URL. But to the best of my knowledge it can't be done with the current AutoNav block.

However it could be modified easily to support such a thing. I realize this doesn't help you, but if I get some free time this month perhaps I could build it. Or hopefully, another block developer will see this post.
