Packages

I'm trying to install a package manually, so copies via FTP as usual. It then won't show up in the dashboard under 'INSTALL'.
Any ideas what might cause that? Any pointer much appreciated.

Wish it were that simple

What package are you trying to install?
What version of Concrete5 are you working with?
Does the package just not show up in the install list, or does it have errors?

In your file structure you have something like this:
/packages/package_name/controller.php
Is that right? A lot of times when you manually unzip the files the package folder is inside of another folder with the same name like this:
/packages/package_name/package_name/controller.php
But because they are named the same it is easy to overlook. That's the only problem I have ever run into with manually installing packages.

Thanks file structure is correct.

What is 'Footstep Nav'?
Apologies I meant Breadcrumbs (it has footsteps in the logo!)
Is the folder/directory set to 755?
Yes 755 for that folder and folders within
Did you double check to make sure the uploaded folder doesn't have the actual add-on folder inside of it? If so, just drag the inner folder up a level so its read.
Hope this helps
