Page list block showing date (creating a Blog)

Hi,

I'm trying to create a simple blog with C5. As I'm the only blogger I don't need the multiple Blog authors of the expensive blog add-on.

So I think I the page list block does work for me. But I'm missing a date display. Is there a way to let it show the date?

There's also a less expensive news add-on. Does it fit blogging needs for a single blogger? Or what's the difference between the Blog and News add-on?

Hi Willi,

The news addon is not developed for blogging and would not offer feature sets that will meet your needs.

I do have another addon being released in the next few weeks that is a stripped down blogging package for C5 that will sell for $35. It will be MUCH more what you are looking for.

here is some Vimeo links for you to preview.

Thanks. Looks promising. What's the main Difference to the $55 Blog module?

And what's the difference of them compared to Wordpress? What about Pings and Trackbacks?

I've changed the default "Blog" pages to "Newsletter" to suit my needs better, but thats only name changes.

My question has to do with the page list block of the sidebar in the Greek Yogurt theme. The default for the theme came with 4 dates appearing as links in that sidebar. The links appear to be some type of shortcut to do a search based on the date of the link.

Q1) Why are there dates appearing when there is no content in the folder the listing page is generated from?

Q2) How can I remove dates from that sidebar?
