Page List > External Page > Description

I have a page "Application Guidelines" that is used under multiple sections so I put this in one section and use External Link to list it under the other sections (so as to not have to update multiple pages when document changes).

Product 1 Info
>Application Guidelines

Product 2 Info
>External Link to Application Guidelines

Product 3 Info
>External Link to Application Guidelines

The only minor issue is that the descriptive text for Application Guidelines only shows up on the actual parent page (Product 1 Info). Is there a way to get it to show on the Page Lists for Product 2 Info and Product 3 Info where it is only a link?

Update:
You can actually change the description and add attributes to external links by using the "Page Search" dashboard page. From there you'll be able to access an External Link's properties to add custom attributes and change various settings.

Original Below:
A description cannot be defined for an External Link. I think this is something that would be very beneficial to concrete5. In fact, I'd love the ability to add additional attributes to external links too (to control how they are displayed in page lists - think thumbnail, etc).

I know I'll probably run into this issue soon, so maybe I can spend some time looking at it (or outsource it). We'll see.

Maybe someone would be up for creating a modification for external links?

That being said, there is an Add-on that would work for external links, but it isn't integrated into the core for use in autonav, page lists, etc.

I am running into this very issue right now. I have a custom template for Page list which displays Thumbnails, and one of the "pages" in a list is an external link, and I can't apply a thumbnail. Boo.

Just discovered a few days ago that you can actually add attributes to external links by using the "Page Search" area in the dashboard. On that specific page, you'll be able to get to an External Link's properties.
