Page title

I'm trying to learn C5 and searched the forums for a clue on how to change the text in the header. I thought changing it in Systemwide Settings would do the trick but it only changes the copywrite in the footer. The header text is the name I gave during install. The site is iprezence.com/concrete5

Thanks

it's crazy how this question pops up every single day :-)

go to the dashboard -> scrapbook -> Global .. Here you will find an item called "Content: My_Site_Name" -> press edit.. Write the name you want, and save.. now your page title has changed :-)

Hope this helps you!

Absolutely helps me - thanks for the quick reply. Wonder why this feature is not in a more intuitive place like Systemwide Settings? Not intuitive to look for it in the scrapbook. But, I'm a newbie in C5 so maybe the data model will become clearer to me with time!

you are absolutely right.. when you are new to the system it doesn't make sense.. but when you get familiar with the scrapbook, you will discover that the page title is just a content block that is hardcoded to display in themes - and when you change this scrapbook item, it will change sitewide, which is the great idea about the scrapbook.. but you are absolutely right - they could have made that part better, although this way gives more flexibility :-)

Because it is a FAQ, I think this deserves a special place in the Basics or FAQ section. C5 developers, do you agree?

I definitely agree - I think the core team is already working on a solution for this matter :-)
