Pages disappear??
For some reason when I go to edit pages that were created earlier in designing my site, the last page I created disappears (after exiting edit mode and saving). Why is this and can I retrieve the lost page or must I recreate?
iv never heard or seen that before.. all pages are stored in the database, if anything its user error
Did the whole page disappear, or just the change you did?
After exiting and saving changes, maybe you clicked on 'Discard Changes'? or maybe 'Preview changes', and thus when you're not logged in the changes don't appear.
Have a look at the Versions of that page from the Dashboard -> Sitemap maybe you can find the change you did there, unapproved.

Hey, okhayat. Thanks a lot. I did find it in the sitemap, but how do I get it to reappear on my site. The version that has the content is already approved. Or at least it seems that way. When I check the button next to the latest version the approve option at the top does not highlight. I can approve older versions, but they don't have the content I want. Also, this page disappeared after approving a new version of a different page. Would that have something to do with it. Thanks again for all your time & effort.
I really can't understand what's happening. Maybe some screenshots would help.
I believe it's just a missing step you're doing that's leading to this.

Okay. Here are three screenshots: the sitemap, the home page with missing page tab, and the actual page with the content. Thanks a lot.
Did you check the "exclude from nav" option when creating the page?
Try checking it under the Dashboard -> sitemap -> click the page and select "properties".
check tab 3 (custom attributes) and see if "exclude from nav is checked" if it is then uncheck it.
The page will then be included in the menu.

Thanks, Brain, but that wasn't the issue. I appreciate the reply.
Have you tried moving the page to show before one of the others?
By doing so you can determine if the problem lies in the page or in the nav.
if you move it before one of the other items and then suddenly the new "last one" is missing you have a limit on your nav somewhere stating it should only show 3 items.
if it doesn't show up when placed before another I suggest you recreate the page.

Thanks, Brain. No dice on the move either. I will recreate the page, but I honestly don't know how that will fix the problem. Where do I go to see if I have restrictions on how many tabs show in the nav? Thanks
I created a misc page to see if that would show up and it didn't. Essentially, I can't get any new pages to show on my nav menu at the top. It must be a setting somewhere that I have missed. Could it possibly be the theme I am using? Thanks
That usually is defined somewhere in the Theme.
I'm sorry but I don't know exactly where.
if your new page shows up in the nav then it really was a problem with the page itself.
You can try to forcefully "upgrade" your concrete installation to the current version to see if that helps. (just add /tools/upgrade?force=1 to your site url when opening it.)
it works as a fix for database problems but I can't say if it will solve your problem. it's worth a shot though

I changed my theme and it showed up. Thanks everyone for the help!
