Pages not showing in autonav what am i doing wrong?

I have the following files default.php and content.php.
By default C5 wants to use default.php for the main page. I use content.php to make a page type named "content".
Now while i am in editor mode and i click add page and choose content page type i just created from the content.php it updates to the autonav which is used in the frontpage. Also content pages autonav is updated. I do some changes to my content site and publish my edits, after that i exit edit mode and my content page is NOT listed in the autonav.
I dont understand the logic behind this, there is no exclude from nav.
