pagetypes unresponsive

Hi- I seem to be having my share of problems with the install of C5 I am using. Overall, tweaks are unresponsive. Currently I am trying to experiment with page types. I am using plain yogurt theme, and want to try out left sidebar page type (or any other for that matter.) Using a modified width in plain yogurt, and didn't bother to copy into /root.themes, at this point just made changes in /root/concrete/themes/ plain yogurt.

When I put the page in edit and go to design, select one of the page types I have installed, but layout doesn't change.

This shouldn't be a problem. What am I missing.

Hi vanike,

I would recommend you copy the plain yoghurt theme to <siteroot>/themes and apply your mods to that.
How did change the width in the left sidebar page type?

Disabling the cache may help.

On your main page you have all the content in the header area. That should probably go in either the main or the sidebar.

Hi Adaptive Image and Tallacman

Thanks for your input. It worked when I downloaded the default Plain Yogurt, made my changes (Main.css) width to 1100 and then renamed and uploaded to <root>/themes, and installed the new theme. After that could change installed page types. I must have corrupted the theme I was using. I had been tinkering with it to try and get an image into the site name stack. (Which was another post- how to position the image- it would not centre or fill the top of the home page.)

Also thanks for your timely reply. C5 is for do it yourselfers- to a degree- need the tech support when you get into trouble!
