Permission for user to schedule guest view permission

Permalink 2 users found helpful
We want to schedule guest view permissions for a page (not a block, but the whole page).

My user is assigned to a group that, on said page, has permission to 'Edit Permissions'.

My user can access the Permissions dialog, click the View permission link, click the clock icon next to the guest entry, but then...

...a dialog box called "Add access Entity" appears with an 'Access Denied' message.

Performing the same task succeeds for those in my Administrator group.

Is there another permission I can set for this non-admin group that will allow them to edit the schedule for a permission, short of making this user an administrator?

I believe your user/group also needs the "schedule guest access" permission for that page or section of the site tree.

I wish this were the solution, but the group that contains this user also has Schedule Guest Access permission. I have attached a screenshot of the permissions. My user is a member of 'About Section Contributors'.

I tried this on a fresh install and ran into the same problem. I reported it in the Bug Tracker here:

I'm also having the same exact issue. Has this been resolved yet?

Just replicated this. "Administrators" group is able to actually SET the access times, whereas my test group "testadmin" can not... Access Denied
