Plain yogurt css keeps disapearing on me

I add my own css in plain yogurt dashboard, but when I save it and return to the website the css disappears, sometimes taking other css with it. Is this a known problem? I am using a remote server with host gator as my provider.

I have taken to editing the master file itself but....just seems odd

I can't tell you why your styles are not saved, but I would suggest you create your own theme so you have full control.
