Possible Cause of Layout and Slideshow Malfunction for Those Upgrading to 5.4.2.1
Permalink
I had this posted elsewhere, but wanted to share it here...
After I upgraded to 5.4.2.1 my slideshows and layouts stopped working. After some research I discovered it was because I was using the modified "header_required.php" in my local elements directory from the 5 Ways to Speed up Your Site thread at.http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/five-easy...
Once I deleted that file (out of the local elements directory, not the concrete/elements directory, my slideshows and layouts all worked fine again.
I don't know why it suddenly started messing things up, I didn't notice a big slowdown because I am using Andrew Embler's Improve Zend Cache fix.http://andrewembler.com/posts/improving-the-performance-of-zend-cac...
