In the areas splitted, adsense insertion causes display and editing issues. i purchases "area splitter" to incorporate adsense, which is the only revenue stream for my website. Its something related to the javascript issue. Anyone know the solution, please?

Let see. I've already forwarded this thread to the developer of this add-on, so chances are when he wakes up (he's in New Zealand) he'll dig into it and see if it is in fact the area splitter that is causing the issue with adsense, and if there's anything he can do about it.

I would suggest not using the area splitter as the simplest solution. This is a large part of the reason why the area splitter's addon page says:
"STATUS: YELLOW
This works much of the time, but it's not guaranteed to work with everything else in the marketplace! Purchase and use with care."

Try putting your adsense code in a "non-split" block area and see if it works fine. If it does, you really should be able to change a template file to give you the columns you're looking for instead of having to use the splitter to do your layout.

If it turns out the area splitter is to blame, I'm perfectly happy to refund your purchase on it.

In general, concrete5 was designed to be a site /management/ tool, not a site /design/ tool, so while I think the area splitter is cool and we've even considered building similar functionality into the core, it is pushing the bounds of what concrete5 was made for. If you simply update the template file to have columns where you want them, adsense and every other block should work fine.

I wish I had a magic answer for you this Sunday afternoon, but this is the best I have at the moment.

Dear Frz,

Thank you for your mail at a surprising speed. I feel privileged.

In fact I just received a very responsible answer from the Mr.Matias Gertel, the developer, in response to a private message I had sent from here. He has promised to get me a solution.

Area Splitter is surely a great addon. It saves a lot of time otherwise spent. But I tried a lot of testing before concluding that it has some issues with adsense.

It will be really great if you could integrate this addon to the core. Its issues with adsense (which could be solved by the developer) do not, in any way, lessen its usefulness in setting easy designs.

I am just waiting for the solutions from its developer. Thank you for your kind concern and fast reply. I feel more confident to be with C5.

Hi Binoy and Franz (and all others)
The problem was in fact caused by the Area Splitter. I've provided Binoy with a fix and will be doing more testing in the meantime. I'll post the new version to the marketplace once I'm 100% happy with the fix.
Cheers,

Matt
