Problem moving page in Sitemap

Just wondering if anyone suddenly lost the ability to move/alias a page in Sitemap via drag-and-drop, and/or if anyone would know a potential fix? I don't know what I might have done to cause this. Any help is greatly appreciated--thanks.
When trying to drag the page icon, the whole tree moves as one. Am I doing something wrong?
seems that the latest version of jquery is a bit punky in ie7/8.. first thing might be to try firefox.. if you're getting the same behavior then its probably intended.. if you move a node that has children, the children should come with it.
