Problems adding page template to active site
Permalink
Hi
I am loving 5.7, but at the same time I am struggling with a few things. The main one at the moment is adding pages. I have created the template and press the add page button or use the sitemap 'add page' option (which doesnt show my templates). It creates the new page type, and then the problem starts...
When I attempt to publish the page I get an error message saying that I have chosen the parent page to publish the page underneath. In previous versions of C5 it automatically published the page under the one you are currently on which is the logical approach and then if required you could move it in the sitemap. It seems to me this approach is a backward step, unless there is logic in it that I cannot find. If it is here to stay like this can you please advise me how I sort this and can explain in simple English to my customers how to add a page.
Sorry for the negative comment, as I have already said, I love the rest of 5.7 that I have found so far and think it a big step forward in every other way.
I look forward to hearing your response and advice.
Cheers,
Simon!
