Problems deleting pages in the sitemap

I just tried to delete a page in the sitemap and I am getting the spinning ajax icon.
I suspect it's a javascript error, and sure enough, when I look at the console, I see the message:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in file:
/index.php/dashboard/sitemap/full/
Any way to fix this? This is a fresh install of Concrete5 (the latest version)

Is this a feature of maintenance mode??
