Problems Moving Blocks

When editing a page, I cannot seem to move the blocks in one of my columns. I click on it, click move, and the dotted border lines will change colour, but nothing actually moves. If I click "Save Position", the little spinner thing spins indefinitely. Suggestions? Am I doing it wrong?
If you are using IE9, try putting it in to compatibility view.
Thank you thank you thank you, this was the magic setting that I was also needing.
I'm using Firefox 4.0.1 - I tried compatibility mode from the Start Menu>Program>Firefox (right click) Properties menu, to no success.
