Publishing Problem

I'm having a very frustrating problem trying to publish. Everything is just as we want it, but it won't publish. The publishing option doesn't display. I've tried clearing the cache under settings. I've tried using a different version. Can anyone help?

What version of C5 are you using? Are you sure it hasn't already been published? Have you tried clearing your browsers cache, or checking it in a different browser?

I'm not sure where to find which version I'm using, but I tried to update and it said no update was available. And yes, I've cleared the cache, I've tried it with three different browsers and it hasn't published. Any ideas?

Have you added any add-ons that use JQuery to your site?

I have no idea what JQuery is, therefore, I doubt it. It's a pretty straight forward site (except that it took a lot of time to get it where we wanted). Our site was registering on about page 567 of google and I was advised to add pages to the navagation bar - which I did add about 7 of them -- and to add meta tags -- which I did.

So you can see the edit bar, but when you put the page into Edit mode, there is no "Publish My Edits" option when you mouse over the Editing button? If so, try editing something on the page, such as adding an extra word to a Content block, then after saving that change, when you mouse over Editing hopefully the Publish My Edits option will appear.

When you say that you've tried a different version, do you mean a different version of the page? Check that you have the latest version published by hovering over the Edit button, clicking Versions and then make sure the topmost version is the one shown in bold. If it is not, tick the checkbox next to that top version, then click the thumbs up symbol, then refresh the page.

Hi Kit,

Remember to click "Aprove" when using stacks or your edits won't publish.

Experiencing exactly the same issue.
As the super admin all is good. If a user is administrator or something else the Publish button just won't appear!

Note: it has been updated from 5.5.x to 5.6.1.2
Running basic permissions
no plugins
