Pull data from form field

I'm using the Reviews block for blog comments, but I want to pull data from a form field and display it elsewhere.

The form field looks like this:
<input id="name" class="ccm-input-text" type="text" value="" name="name">


Any help is much appreciated!

You should be able to get this information using JavaScript really easily

$(function() {
    var $form = $('form.my-form'),
        name = $form.find('input[name="name"]').val();
    alert(name);
});

Hi Korvin,

Thank you for your response. Sorry I didn't notice it until today. I tried that and all I got was an empty dialog box. See attached.

I was hoping I could turn it into a variable that I could called in certain places.
