put a content area into a main content area?

I have a site I'm working on that uses a calendar that has two content areas for every block (each block is part of a div that has a div inside for the date). One content area is for the date and the other is for the details. I have it set into a main content area as html, but I can't edit the date and detail area. Any suggestions?

Your question is a bit confusing -- would it be possible for you to post a screenshot or two to demonstrate this?
Also, are you a designer or developer, or just using C5 to manage your site? (It doesn't matter one way or the other, I only ask so that an appropriate solution can be provided).
