Registration not working issue and site_theme_paths.php

For everyone struggling with this...
I have just noticed an issue when I added register.php in my root/single_pages dir to site_theme_paths.php.
My registration, which had been working well, suddenly stopped working. I removed the code to change register.php to display as my theme from site_theme_paths.php and it started working again.
I have no idea why, it just fixed it...
