Remove add-ons
Permalink
I am wanting to remove some add-ons that were installed but are nolonger required.
There does not appear to be a disable or remove button in the Add functionality area.
Do I just delete the add-on via ftp?
In particular, I am wanting to delete the "Add-this" bar.
There are no options in the plugin to turn it off.
Thanks

I installed all add-ons directly through Concrete5 rather than manually installed them.
I have deleted the "addthis" add-on but it still appears in the list and shows up on the live site.
Is there another folder i need to delete installed packages. I have so far deleted:
/packages/addthis
Thanks

You have to uninstall them, not delete them. Go to the Addon area then find the Addon you want to remove, click Edit. You should see an Uninstall option there.
I tried this but there is no uninstall option for the addthis addon.
Thanks

Hey everyone, sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm searching through the forum and I'm having the same problem.
When I try to edit and add-on, nothing happens when I click the "edit" button. I'm trying to uninstall them because none of them work and I can't seem to access any of the add-ons.
This started happening after I did a fresh install of Concrete5 and restored an old database.

this is because you don't have the actual addons, just the record of them that the old database says you have. Put them in the correct folders and they should be able to be uninstalled, and should work too.
If it was never installed then you'll have to do it by ftp.
Hope that helps.
