How do I replace the home page with another created page that is presently listed under it.
As far as I know, this is impossible. The root page (homepage) is something that has to exist where it is and can't be deleted.
In legacy 5.6 there is a constant, "HOME_CID" set to "1" by default. Although I've never changed it to observe the results, one is lead to believe this would force a different page to act as the home page (??). The implications of which and whether this was carried over to version 8, I do not know. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable in regards could clarify for both of us :)
That constant is still there if I'm not mistaken, not sure if it will be forever though. And how it works if you have a multilingual site...? I'm sure someone knows the definitive answer!
