Replacing Home Page - Please Help

Hi,

I recently had someone start building my a website and they have since disappeared so i am now left to do it myself.

The coding and content has all been done.

The site map for the home page is as follows;

HOME (landing page, says 'coming soon')
+ Home (this is the MAIN home page but is down as /home)

I need the landing page with the coming soon to be deleted but it is the main page so i'm guessing i can't delete it because it is the ROOT page ??? the page underneath it when you click the plus is a sub page but has all the content of the MAIN PAGE and this is what i want to be displayed when someone views my website.

Can someone please help me and tell me how i can move this up to become the main home page, or how i go about removing the landing page that says coming soon

Thanks a lot

Well i think the best was to do it manually. So open both pages in 2 different tab & edit both of them. Then copy from Child home to root home. Don't try to delete Root Home page. It will delete all.

Thanks for the speedy reply Rony.

I'm having trouble with the boxes etc that the content goes in. They are different sizes and my main HOME page has more boxes than the actual landing page and i don't know how to add them.

I'm not looking for someone to carry the work out for me, as there isn't much to do.

I'm simply looking for advise and help

Is there no easier way to copy and paste??? because the boxes with the information in are different sizes, the information doesn't display the way i needed

what version of Concrete5 are you using - it sounds as though possibly the 2 pages are different page types. If not then I'd imagine you'd be able to delete the comung soon message and use the clipboard facility to copy the blocks from ine oage to the other.

But, there is an element of guesswork there and you need to be careful of global areas etc.

As I've said previously, you need to open both pages in 2 different tabs and the edit both of them. Then use same page type for both. The copy the nested home pages blocks to clipboard and then go to parent home page and paste it in the proper location. That's it.

I have the same problem, am using C5.7, and both pages have different formats, even though they appear to have the same template (full). I have been struggling to get the formats to match, but have not been able to. Both Home pages have the same top, and bottom, regions. In one Home page, the middle region is split into two columns, and in the other Home page, it is split into three columns, or blocks. I have tried to get rid of one of the extra blocks-columns, but it won't let me.

How can I, "use same page type for both" ? What are the steps to do so ?
