results page without search box, possible?

I have got my searchbox hardcoded in my header.php and returning the query to my resultpage, all fine.
But because of the searchbox header approach, I do not want to show another searchbox in my results block.
So does anyone knows how to strip the searchbox from my resultspage?

It is offcource done by editing view.php in the search block :)
