RSS links

Please excuse my newbie question. :) How do I get RSS links on my pages? That is, I'd like someone to be able to subscribe via RSS to one of my pages. Can Concrete create RSS links for any page?

Thanks,
CK

If you add a page list block to a particular page, and enable the RSS feed option in that block, any pages that show up in that list will automatically be fed into the RSS feed. Does that help? For example, you could create a News page, and then setup a page list block that shows the five latest stories from under that page, in order of date descending. Then, if you turn on the RSS feed option for that page list, any time you add a new page under that page, that new page will be added to the RSS feed.

Does that help?

Hi Andrew.

Yes, that is exactly what I needed. Works like a charm! So easy.

Thank you,

Hi there,
I have tried what Andrew described and cannot make it work... I have had a look at chawki's website and it is what I need too.
So, I have a news page and I add a page list block to same page (at the bottom). I get links to other pages of my website instead of news.
What am I doing wrong?
How did you manage with the RSS logo?
Thanks a lot in advance!!

I know it probably wouldn't come up much, but sometimes it would be nice to expose just one page via RSS, but it is not an option as far as I can tell.

When you edit the page list block to provide the RSS, it is presumed that you want "pages" weather they are articles, categories or blog posts. Maybe you have a page that gets updated often but it is not an overarching category nor a blog.

And while it seems like you could display 1 pages of type article on the respective page... the catch is in the "Location in Website". The only options are Everywhere, Beneath this page, or Beneath another page. Why not also have an option for "This Page"?
