Scrapbook of Partial Block Contents?

I understand that a scrapbook item may be placed as an entire block wherever I wish.
But what I'm looking to accomplish is to create a batch of (for lack of a better word) "constants" -- e.g. a set of commonly used links, phrases/slogans -- that may be copied and pasted into an article/block when it is being edited.
For example, I created a Google Map link and I want it to appear in mid-sentence in various articles that may be written in the future. AFAICT individual scrapbook items consist of entire blocks, not bits and pieces that may be included within a block. Or am I missing something?
