Search function not working (Silence theme)

I am not sure if this is a concrete5 general issue or a theme issue so thought i would put it out there to the community. How do i get my search to work?

oops, saw it, sorry. I will give it a shot and let you know. and these instructions will work with the built in search that comes with silence?
