Search path always shows 'beneath this page'

No matter what I set my 'Search Within Path:' to in my search boxes, it always goes back to 'beneath this page' when I go back to check it.

I does, however, seem to search the whole site.

I'm on the latest versions of everything.

I have the same problem with search results. See the attached image.

I specified the search to be under a page that does NOT contain the page returned. This seems to be a bug.
