I am wondering if there is a way to send email notifications to different email addresses from the ecommerce module on a product by product basis - We are building out a site that we would like to represent a variety of vendors, and would really like to be able to notify each automatically when one of their products is sold.

Any thoughts on this?

It would be really useful to be able to do this, and I would even consider helping with the cost of development if there is no way to do this now.
