Setting default theme for page type

I have a site on V8.5.4 and have just installed a new theme from the market place. The previous theme was also from the market place.
The theme has been activated and I have set up the default out put on two existing page types that are frequently added. The default output page is using the activated theme however when adding a page of this page type it still defaults to the previous theme and I have to change it back to the new theme in page settings.
I cant see where to select the default theme in page types.
Both page types are using the 'Full' page template.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?
Hi,
I have the same issue, new theme is all settud up correctly but when I create a new page it is always the old theme that shows up, I haven't found how to default to the default theme (!!).
I have read somewhere (really old posts) that page_type might not exists in new theme but it does.
Any help much appreciated,
