Setting permissions for Calendar

Hello! I bought the calendar add-on and I have it installed and working perfectly for the admin. However, I am using advanced permissions on my site and unable to get any other group to be able to add an event. I have set the calendar page to be editable by my registered user group, but the "Add event" link is missing. They can edit the page (blocks) but not add events. How do I set the permissions for the event calendar specifically?

add page permissions are easy to miss, but when you goto the calendar page where you're granting access be sure to click the drop down that controls add page permissions..

you need to make sure that group can add pages of the event type.

It was easy to miss! It took me a while but I found it. When adding permissions to the calendar page, select the dropdown that says "Currently Viewing", it will be on "Page Permissions" by default. Then select "Sub-Page Permissions" and grant access to write pages of the Event or Calendar type.
