I've seaeched the forum on how to edit out this text at the bottom of my site but deleting line 19 has not worked. I would like to get this deleted as soon as possible as when I log in to edit the site there is chinese writing in the login box so can only think someone is trying to hack in.

Any ideas would be welcome.

It is different for every theme, and believe me, that won't stop hackers ;)

What theme are you using?

I recently upgraded for new version on C5 and permissions got really messed up.
It also deactivated the following Add Ons:

'Advanced Guestbook Comment' is not working, 'Simple Blog Post' is not working, 'Popup Menu' is not working.

Please assist.

Sorry, didn't see the response in my email,

if you used the auto-update to update concrete5 you should look in /updates/concrete5.x.x/ otherwise if it was a fresh install or manual update

copy /concrete/themes/default to /themes then open /elements/footer.php and find:

else { ?>
            <span class="sign-in"><a href="<?=$this->url('/login')?>"><?=t('Sign In to Edit this Site')?></a></span>
         <? } ?>
and delete it

make sure after the } there is ?>
