I must be missing something. I edit my home page (logged in as admin). I select Design on the site name block. I change the background to some color and click save. Nothing shows up. If I do an edit instead and change the text, THAT displays. But nothing else. I found my way to the site name black and THAT had the new background color. So I approved that, then published edits. Nothing. This should not be this difficult. (Clearing cache etc doesn't help, especially since this is literally my first change to the site.)
